Addressing Assessment, Characterization, Management and Communication of Risk in Chemical and Conventional Munitions, Worldwide
This Dialogue will serve as a premiere global forum for underwater munitions information exchange on the topics of risk assessment, management and communication affecting countries throughout the world. Our intention is to have an appreciative dialogue where we can reach positive outcomes through consultative, collaborative dialogue. An integral component of this Dialogue is the inclusion of a series of private meetings designed to enable political and executive leaders from throughout the world to share ideas and best practices and to find collaborative outcomes. We have confirmed attendance from leaders in more than 10 countries with interest from many more. This Dialogue promises to provide a most engaging and constructive forum for discussion on critical issues regarding Underwater Munitions.

![]() Andrzej JagusiewiczUndersecretary of State, Ministry of Environment, Poland Mr. Andrzej Jagusiewicz was designated by the Prime Minister of Poland to occupy a major position in the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection in Poland on January 1st , 2008. His education background in engineering and economy strengthened by Ph.D. in environmental sciences is coupled with long international career in private companies and United Nations Agencies. He is an expert in transboundary issues (air and water), integrated assessment modelling, monitoring in situ, spatial infrastructure and satellite imaging. Mr. Jagusiewicz is the author of numerous presentations and lectures at different international and national events and several publications, including environmental forecasts. He has handled many functions assigned as chairman, rapporteur and manager, including head of scientific and public administration departments and various environmental projects as well. At present he is Polish representative as Head of Delegation in the Helsinki Convention, moreover represents Poland in the CAFÉ Steering Group, Executive Body of the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution and its Bureau (Vice-Chairman), in GMES Advisory Council, in the INSPIRE Expert Group. He is vice president of the European Environment Agency Management Board. In addition he has good knowledge of strategies, policies, programmes and plans of environmental protection. |

![]() Addison D. Davis, IV (Tad)Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Addison D. Davis, IV (Tad) was appointed by the President of the United States to serve as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Environment, Safety and Occupational Health. He was sworn in and assumed duties on October 17, 2005. Mr. Davis provides executive leadership for all Army environment, safety and occupational health programs including Army National Guard and Reserve activities. His responsibilities span a global organization that includes over a $1 billion annual environmental program and oversight for the safety and occupational health of over 1.2 million soldiers and Army civilian employees worldwide. Mr. Davis works with key personnel in the Army, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal and state agencies in developing and advocating Army policies for environment, safety and occupational health programs in accordance with Presidential Executive orders, public laws, state and local standards, DoD directives and the Army mission. |

![]() William Johnson Aila Jr.
William Johnson Aila Jr. has been the Harbor Agent for the Wai‘anae Boat Harbor, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, Department of Land and Natural Resources since 1987. As Harbor Agent capacity, he manages, operates and maintains 31 acres of fast and submerged lands, 146 berths and moorings, seven launching lanes, five service docks, and one main loading dock with fish hoist, and a parking area for 90 vehicles and 170 with vehicles attached to trailers. In 2004 Mr. Aila was appointed board member of the Hawai‘i Community Development Authority by the governor to represent the public’s interests in the development of Kalaeloa. Mr. Aila is currently a board member of Ka Papa O Kakuhihewa, an organization formed to fund educational projects relating to resource conservation in the area from Kapolei to Kaena. He is a board member of Wai‘anae Coast Alternative Community Development Corporation, a non-profit dedicated to community development. |
